Claire + Eliot’s Vintage-Inspired Wedding at FIVE Event Center
Happy 6 months to these newlyweds!
Claire and Eliot came to HappiLily Events shortly after their engagement, wanting to plan a Minnesota wedding from Chicago. They chose our full planning package + signature design package and I had the honor of working with them throughout their entire planning process from setting a budget and finding a venue to hiring their vendor dream team, refining their wedding design, coordinating rentals, and supporting them on their wedding day!

Claire and Eliot wanted a fall wedding — one of the most coveted wedding seasons. Finding a venue they loved with availability less than 9 months in advance was going to be a bit of a challenge, but luckily, after a bit of venue scouting and outreach, we learned that FIVE Event Center in Uptown Minneapolis had a last-minute opening! This venue was the perfect setting for the couple’s day, with an industrial style and quirky touches like a picture-frame wall, a curving bar top, and velvet lounge furniture.
With the wedding date confirmed, we got right to work learning all about their vision and priorities so we could match them to the best vendors.
Design was an important aspect of the couple’s wedding.
Claire and Eliot were drawn to vintage accents and earthy touches, and they wanted to create a romantic and intimate feel for the day. They envisioned taper candles in eye-catching colors, gold and brass accents, bud vases, and lots of greenery like ferns and olive branches. What made this design so fun was incorporating a variety of thrifted pieces Claire had found!

Standout decor elements included an oversized, whimsical floral arrangement on the staircase, designed by Revel & Flourish, and a cozy sweetheart table setting featuring rentals from Style Society.

We loved the table centerpieces with gold geometric charger plates and table numbers, vintage glass bud vases, and a variety of gold, dusty rose, and red taper candles. Black table linens and forest green napkins completed the look.
The couple was wed under a chuppah adorned with a lush olive branch swag and they stood on a vintage rug; these elements were then repurposed for their cozy sweetheart table setting!

This was the most perfectly-eclectic vintage wedding! We worked alongside some amazing vendors to bring the couple’s vision to life and seeing their reaction to the space was the best feeling!
